Show us your life-kids names

Kelly's Korner does a Show us your life post every Friday, so I thought I would join in today. This week it is kids names, what are your names and how did you come up with them.
 Jalen Daniel
When I was pregnant with Jalen we had a girl name picked out but not a boy name. So my friend Whitney let me borrow her baby name book and we started our search. I knew I wanted something different and not something you heard everyday. So when we came to the name Jalen, we both loved it. It was the first name we both agreed on. Jalen means "vivacious" and he is very vivacious. His middle name is my Dad's first name and I wanted to have a family name somewhere in his name.

Jace Christopher
When we found out we were having another boy we were in the same boat of not having a name already picked out. So again we went to the baby name book and started hunting. We knew that we wanted the middle name to be Christopher, it is my brother name and we liked it, so we had to find something that went with it. Since Jalen's name meant "vivacious" and he was very much that I knew that we had to look into the meaning of the names before we chose our second son's name. I liked the name Quenten and Jerald liked the name Major. So our requirement for original names was met, we just had to decide which one we liked better. So we kept looking and found the name Jace. We both liked and and thought that could be our name. Not long after we found that name my Grandma passed away. A few days after she passed my mom and I were talking about names and she asked if I knew what Jace meant. I didn't know so we decided to look it up. As soon as I saw what it meant I knew this was his name. Jace means " a healing".

Mia Elizabeth
This is my girl name. I have loved this name ever since I was a little girl. Mia Hamm is my all-time favorite soccer player and I loved her name so that it why my daughters name would be Mia. Elizabeth is my mothers name and just like with our boys I like to have family names in my childrens names. I don't know if we will ever get to use it, since I think we are done having babies, but you never know.
